I hear ya! I hate having to stop in the middle of a project because I forgot something. Better to make sure you have everything you need before you start.

Do what Weiboy said. That's exactly what I did. As far as the sealant. It comes in more of a "rope" than a tape form. I rolled mine a little thinnner than just layed it down in the groove where the original sealant was. Bake till soft (5-10 mins), apply housing cover and compress together as hard as you can, then tighten all the screws. I would bake it again for 5-10 compress again as hard as you can all the way around and tighten the screws again if they can go any more.

So I am doing the headlight modification this weekend. I wanted opinions on what color... I know I'm going to paint just the housing but not sure if I want to paint gloss or matte black considering my car is black with chrome grill and chrome factory wheels.

What kind of paint are you using? Wanted to tackle this myself as well, but wasn't sure what kind of spray paint I could use. Thanks.
