Insanely Expensive OEM DRL Kit installed
I finally got the OEM DRL Kit installed and I must say, I Like. They are very expensive but if you have an extra 1000 bucks laying around and your obsessed with lights like myself then this is a mod worth looking at. The kit comes with six Led bulbs split evenly into two seperate housings. The Led's are VERY BRIGHT. I can't look at them for too long without hurting my eyes. They flow naturally with the look of the car and IMO gives the G a classier look. All the newer G's should have been equipped with these lights from the factory. I don't really wanna put too many aftermarket parts on the car while under warranty but I wanted to differentiate my car from all the other OB sedans I've seen in Miami. I had them installed at Sawgrass Infiniti because these were not the easiet to install. It took the tech 7 hours to complete. No one at the dealership had even heard of the kit(Probably because its so expensive), but they liked the outcome. Yes it was way too expensive but I'm very pleased with them.

Wow did they charge you for 7 hours of labor too???
I'm not surprised about them not knowing about the lights. When I went to order the impact sensor alarm at my dealership, they had no idea what I was talking about. When I went to talk to the lead tech he had no idea how long it'd take either. He looked at the instructions and quoted me two hours of labor. $240 for $60 in parts?? No way. It didn't seem like he even wanted to try to install it aynways. So I decided to take a swing at it. Only took me 45 minutes.

BTW, online it shows $659. Why did you end up paying $1,000?

Yeah, Thats one of the reasons I bought them.
I know. This was a case of not looking before i leap. I purchased the kit for 500 bucks. Didn't expect it to be 7 hours of labor. The dealership actually gave me a discount because the labor rate is 125.00/hour.
No they dropped it down to 500 bucks. They wouldn't quote me a price until they saw the installation manual as well. When I looked through the instructions and saw that you had to remove the bumper, cut through the lower grills than run the wiring to the bcm, parking brake circuits, etc. I decided against Doing it myself. I did install the paddle shifters by myself. Anything harder than that I take to the dealer.
I bought them off Ebay from Tony at Circle Infinti in New Jersey for 499.95 + shipping. The dealership charged 500 for install. I actually found them cheaper on Onlineinfinitiparts.com, but I had already purchased them from Ebay.
Thanks. Wasn't expecting to spend so much but it is what it is.

Wow, these pictures didn't look so crappy on my laptop but on my work computer they look horrible. I'll try to take some more and repost when I get home in the morning.

WOW! That's an expensive install. Regardless, they look good, serve a purpose, and all that matters is that you're happy with it. Enjoy them.
