Dash lights on?

So when I come out of park and start moving my awd, slip, abs, and vdc off light come on. Any idea why this is? I just installed catch cans (thread to come soon). Could that be it? I checked my brake fluid and that's not it.

Could be your throttle body, but you would notice that in the lack of power.

90% of the time though it is brake related...

Only got 12000 kms though. Brake fluid is the same height since I picked it up. Any way of checking my pads? Never done it before (less of removing them)

Well if your pads are worn, your brake fluid will more than likely be low.

I would go get it scanned or take it to the dealer.

I just had something similar, my 08' coupe with 42k just started getting abs feedback in the brake pedal during light brake application. It will do this for one of two stops then the VDC,ABS and Slip lights come on and from that point on the abs feedback is gone along with traction control (which is fun when your supercharged!), never knew how much the VDC kills the fun.
I have not had a chance to look at the problem but I suspect a wheel sensor issue. I have to be sure what the cause is before bringing the car back to the dealer since it's over an hour drive and if it turns out to be something related to any of my mods it will be out of my pocket.

The last time the SLIP and VDC lights came on along with the intelligent curse not working and the car resets the trip mileage after each use.

The dealer had to replace the brake actuator. Not sure what the connection was.

you might have a dirty hub/spindle, that isnt allowing the traction control/abs sensor to read that wheel speed correctly,

or it could be a dirty/faulty traction control/abs sensor on the spindle/hub itself.

when those lights come on, do you get a retarded amount of engine power?(as if the traction control is limiting the power?)

that metal disk with with the many holes cut out- is what im talking about.

nonot really noticing a change in power, i have lots of mods going on in my car. and im a bit afraid to take it to the dealer haha. Catch cans, intake, exhaust and testpipes are the only engine altering mods. Im afraid they are going to give me a hard time. Are there any codes to read through the OBD2 when this happens?
