Help with hard water / oxidation on the chrome trim around windows

Does anyone have advice on removing hard water spots or what appears to be some oxidation or something on areas of the chrome trim that go around the tops and bottoms of the sedan windows? The car has seen some East Coast winters, and I haven't been the best with detailing. Whats the easiest method for getting the chrome trim to be spot free and look like new??

Are you drying with microfiber towels? That seemed to do it for me. When I am lazy and let it air dry that's when I got the deposits.

I dry with microfiber, but the chrome trim still shows the water marks, the paint is clean though.

prescott, will chrome polish work even though it's plastic trim? I wasn't sure if it was meant for metal surfaces only.

I would use a little Windex to take it off. Chrome polish has abrasives in it.

The hard water spots you're seeing are probably lightly etched into the chrome finish. You need to try a very light cleaner all-in-one product like Zaino AIO, Klasse AIO, etc. If that doesn't work, step up to a true polish with abrasives. If you have a PC buffer, this will be much easier to deal with.

I'll try those cleaners and see if that works. The marks aren't raised or anything like some hard water spots, it seems like the chrome is stained or something
