Angry Shipping my Headlights to 180Custom (NYC)!!!

Hey all,

I am currently trying to ship my lights off to 180custom to get my lights worked on for my 2008 sedan. I just set up a UPS acct and a Fedex acct to get a price quote to ship my lights. For regular ground service, UPS wants $93.86 and FedEx wants $59.36 each way!!! I know the headlights are not small and not cheap to ship, but damn.. are these rates reasonable to you guys? Am I doing something wrong? Or does it usually cost this much? I was expecting like $20-30 each way.

I would really REALLY appreciate it if someone can guide me into shipping these lights without burning a hole in my wallet.

FYI the box dimensions: 28"x16"x24"
Weight: 24 lbs.
Origin: 92844 (Garden Grove, CA)
Destination: 11224 (Brooklyn, NY)

Thanks in advance!

-Jason

I use FedEX, sounds about right. Pack those babies up good, you don't want those tabs broken.

Don't get a box where is just fits snug, give it enough space for padding. You should be fine, just insure them!

Good luck

I also PM'd him for rates too. But I am trying for more than just painting. Looking to do some lense swap plus LED halo around the projectors. Should cost me a pretty penny.

Dude, it isn't hard to send the housing to a bodyshop to get it sprayed under your request.

Good luck to you.

I just don't have the time or the ***** to tackle this myself. I just got a brand new set of headlights under warranty (had some oxidation issues). I just wanna make sure they're done right the first time around without any sealing issues since the lights are brand spanking new in the boxes.
