Exclamation Passanger aibag off light is ON and buckle up light is on,even nothing on seat.

On my 2010 FX35. After I start car passanger aibag off light is ON and buckle up light is on,even nothing on seat and it stays this way .

Any ideas? if I put my friend on a seat and he buckles up it will go off after 1-2 minutes,as soon as he leaves the seat buckle up sign and airbag off lights goes on as well

Anyone had same thing?

Yep. They told me that once the car warms up it'll be fine but sometimes they stay on even after I've driven around for 15 mins.

There are weight sensors in the seat. Dealer may need to adjust them. This was a common problem in my old car.

Maybe pull the negative terminal? You'll lose all your information though, including oil change interval, etc.. Not sure if resetting the ECU will help? There's a DIY in the DIY section.

I was told that "these high end cars have lots of electronics that weren't built for the Canadian winter" and the problem was never addressed. I wonder if one could sue Infiniti if airbag(s) fail to deploy in a collision.

I had the same issue a long time ago, when I initially did the nav bypass. I didn't do it properly so the passenger airbag light off would always be on.

Infiniti did tell me that if there was a crash the airbags would not deploy.

He messed with the wiring of the car. What would you expect them to tell him?

They found out you did NAV mod? Did they void your warranty? Or they told you just connect everything back together and it will fix airbag light?

How did you fix it?
