Talking New G37s Owner! Few questions

Hello everyone... I recently traded in my 3 series and picked up a Black 08 g37s LOVE IT!

Few questions:

I was thinking about tinting my car (monday appointment) 5% on the back 3 windows and 35% two doors... does anyone have pics of a simular combo? Also noticed a lot of people are going 20% all the way around... overall will it look "better" with the same tint all the way around?

Also lowering my car with the Eibach pro kit (Saturday)... right now I am also getting the rear camber arm.... its costing me 900 for everything springs, rear arm install, and alignment. Is this a fair price and do I really need the rear camber? I read that the pro kit is going to keep pretty much the same specs as stock... anything i am missing? Rather be safe then sorry...

Thanks for the help in advance!

No u don't need the camber kit with eibachs. Yes that 900 is way too much. Spring install should be about 150-200 alignment should be 95. You also want to wait till ur springs settle before you get an alignment, 3weeks or so.

IMHO, a camber kit would help from the uneven wear. Although its not much of a difference (from that of stock wear), I would personally recommend a rear camber kit. As for installation, let me sum it up for you...
Eibach PK: ~$250.00
Camber Kit: ~$225.00
Installation (fair): ~$200.00
∑: $675.00
Diff(from your ∑): $225.00 <-- how much you will be overpaying

You can find a used set Eibach for roughly half the price of a new kit. Look around the forum, you are bound to jump across a good deal.

As for the tint, it looks best when you have the same % all the way around. Looks kinda funky when the % differs, even by 5% it looks weird.

Perfect... thanks for the help... so just to understand there is really no "need" for the camber... along time ago I lowered a civic and the tires had rings in them... worn out ... just wanted to make sure this did not happen to this car!

I have 15% all around and it looks NICE. 5% is a little bit too dark, especially with a G

Ok... so I have called every shop around and they are all wanting to charge 350 for the install (thats the cheapest...) does anyone know a shop around San Jose or Fremont that will do the install for less?

Wait a week or 2 before getting an alignment, your springs are still new and haven't settled yet.

Camber arms is not necessary. I don't have them and I'm on Eibachs too like you. You can get alignment back to within specs without camber arms, that's why people say it's not necessary. BUt if you want to run less camber and less toe (more even wear), camber arms will help. The trade off would be you'd miss out on some handling from less negative camber. For me, since an alignment will bring camber to back within factory specs without camber arms, I don't think it's necessary.

^^^^^ what Danny said.... And I strongly agree with wlmngtn, tint looks better
if it's the same % all around... I have 30%; no hassles, I like 20 % better, but here in Irvine, I just didn't want to chance it, don't need a hassle with the law....GL...
