Door lights wiring for LED Light

Hi guys..

Im am trying to install a LED strip to the door (step) lights... can anybody tell me which wires to connect it to? 2010 g37 convertible...

ok.. i found the wire for my step lamp.. but there is only power when the step lamp is off and no power when the step lamp is on.. errrr

can someone plez advise?

why not trace it back from where the door lights are or just tap into them??

wires coming out of the door tunnel is hard to see...

im going to install under car LED glow that will only activate when the dome lights are on.
unlocking the car will activate a light glow under the car, by the doors- once i figure out which wire is what... ill let you guys know.
