painting the chrome around the windows and grill??

Ive seen some cars with this done and was just curious to see how/how much? Im getting Moonlight White and def. want the grill, headlights, and taillights done in a dark gray. The trim around the windows i was thinking of color matching the white or maybe the dark gray?? Anyone have this done or have any pics??

Thanks

Tons of people have done this. I did it myself lol, but I plan on getting it vinyl wrapped soon. I have never seen the windom trim color matched, but i might look weird.

Uhh well here's a moonlight white, with dark gray (Shadow) grille, headlights, taillights, and soon to be window trim.

I did the window trim in gun metal on my car too, but it was black.

Unfortunately the only pic I have of the trim

So is there any thing special i need to know about doing this? What type of paint do you have to use? Any worries about it not sticking to chrome or any issues with the paint peeling or chipping? Looking to do this to my grill, and window trim the day i pick the car up from the lot.....

I did the vinyl wrap myself. Looks so much better without that chrome. Working with vinyl takes patience -- it was hard for me to get all the bubbles out. It's been on a few weeks now and I notice that most of the bubbles have dissipated. You can only notice them right up close -- they're not noticeable from a couple feet away. My guess is that if I were to do it again it would come out better -- I was learning as I went along.

Wow, the sedan looks good with the coupe sport wheels!

Just to clarify, those aren't the S wheels. Those are from the Wheel and Tire Performance package.

I have those same wheels on my S, its on all the 07-08 S's ever reviewed(Motorweek, Motortrend, Car and Driver, Road and Track, etc. But yeah G37 mightve changed, I would be on the G35 forum but I hate those ugly 1st gen sedan models that looks like Altimas, which is the majority of owners there besides the slower and heavier coupe). These are the wheels I have, same as yours but chromed for $700(full set, under previous owner).

Looks like the "poor man's" BMW M5. Which is not a negative to any degree, just is like a "mini" M5, 3/5 the power, 4/5 the handling, 5/5 the looks, all at less than 1/2 the price.
