They have a combination of different products he's gonna use that are supposed to work really well with FG and poly. I'm going to stop by today and check it out.

Just a little update. Once the body shop got everything torn down they found some more damage so they had to order some more parts and everything. They got started on molding the lip over the weekend. I'll try to stop by in the next day or two and see how its looking. I'm hoping everything will be finished by friday, but it's looking more like next week.

Stopped by the shop today to check up on the progess of the car. They have all the parts in now and will begin the repairs tomorrow. The lip has been fitted and mounted to the bumper and he is going to start the molding process this afternoon. Will hopefully be able to start paint by sunday and have everything finished up by tuesday or wednesday of next week at the latest.

Molding is almost complete. He's hoping to get the sanding finished and have it primed by tonight or tomorrow morning. Everything should be all done by weds.

Called the shop today. They were about done with the base coat and it was going through the cure cycle this afternoon. He's going to try and get the clear sprayed tonight, if not first thing in the morning. Then they just have to let that harden then color sand and buff it. Everything should be all finished up by tomorrow evening or first things thursday morning.

Seems like this process is taking quite a while. The wait must be killing you!

Yeah, I'm about to go crazy without my car! lol. Ordering all the parts and getting the repairs done took a lot longer than planned. Once they got the body panels off they found about another $1000 worth of damage and the wait for dealing with insurance and getting additional parts took almost a whole week. It should be all worth it in the end though!
