Angry smashed fog light glass

hey all,

first i want to say hi! i used to post on the G35driver site all the time... until i just got my G37

so anyway, i got my 2010 G37 Sedan about a month ago and last week i was driving on the highway and my drivers side fog light must have gotten smashed by a rock or something. Just the glass on the housing is broken, everything else is fine, even the bulb. any suggestions on what i should do?!?

I'm thinking to just going to the dealer and getting a new housing but if getting a better aftermarket kit is cheaper i might go that route. any idea how much a new OEM housing is?!?

i cant find anything online

There's no aftermarket foglight housing available yet. dealer is your best bet!

crap, i ended up going to the dealer. $173 for 1 fog light and thats with a 10% off coupon... not including installation. but from what ive been reading here the installation wont be too hard so ill just do it myself. highway robbery i tell you. i could understand if it was HID but its not.

The installation is simple, might as well upgrade to HID's.

O P, you also might want to put Lamin-X or something similar to your fog lens for future protection.

It happens very frequently with fogs low to the ground...rocks and pebbles can hit it easier. Definitely find some lamin-x or protective film for your new set. However if your fogs get too hot, the film can sometimes burn so watch out on which films you get.
