Not in my case! I did them myself and a few others and still running strong!

I would advise adding a switch to avoid burning them out with the headlights though.

In a nut shell:

The 10 LED ironman/arc reactor = higher chance of burning out, small viewing angle, high labor

Not worth it for the members, IMO. Just think about the higher chance of burn out before shelling out the money.

LE has technically retired the Arc Reactor look but if anyone absolutely insist, it could still be done, not sure about warranty though.

NO! I only did one person's light that I accepted a payment. The rest was all for friendships.

Agreed, easy to do for someone who has experience... but if i had to do it again I'd probably pay someone. Weiboy gave me some advice but it definitely takes some know how, creativity and a LOT of patience.

so far i don't think there's such thing.

people who's doing this should always use a on off switch to prolong the life of the leds. overall it's just tiny lights and it will burn sooner or later.

even if they have heatsinks? I've seen led's in industrial solutions. I've got someone that is all he does is sell industrial Leds and he said he sells some for extreme temps as well.

Haha I know, I know. Been really busy and I bought starcraft II, so that has been dominating my life. I have a few pics in the garage but I want to get downtown and take some nice shots to post.

Let me know if he sells 8mm LEDs. I'm willing to buy some to test them out.

I recently got the Iron Man mod done to my headlights.

Yes it is a slightly pain in the *** mod if you have to have someone do it for you, because you get stuck with a car without headlights. The04Coupe did them for me, he lived about 25 min away....so it was annoying trying to get to him and back home while racing the clock to get home before the sun sets.

So its definitely a pain in the butt to have to do that again if a bulb burns...and it will look stupid driving around with 1 burnt bulb. However the headlights came out GREAT. nice and bright. the LEDs he used are 100% without obstruction
