Skyline Kickplates

I just got the skyline illuminated kickplates and not sure how to install the wires. The instructions came in japanese. Does anyone have a set of instructions in English? I took apart the plastic lining and saw nowhere where I could just plug the wire harness in. Help please. Does the JDM one come with a different wire harness than the US one?

How did you get the Skyline ones? Where did you get them from? How much?

Z1motorsports.com. I figured out the wiring. They look really good. I received the kickplates quick. $210 shipped. Looks awesome.

Well if you want to do it right and get rid of all Infiniti markings you should also replace the steering wheel, analog clock, carpeting, fob, engine cover, OEM rims (if he still has them on) and the owner’s manual packet and its contents. Of course, to really go JDM you would have to switch to right hand drive. That would make installing Skyline kickplates the least of the OP’s problems.

Wait, on second thought that wouldn’t work either. The VIN is coded for a G37 and you can’t swap it out.

Hahaha. Owner's manual and swapping steering wheel to the right is a bit extreme. I have aftermarket rims. The clock might be tough, but doubt anyone would notice. Steering wheel cover, I have no clue how to remove. I have no intentions of doing any of that stuff btw, just thought it would be nice to have the kickplates. Maybe in the future I might consider it.

Did you have to splice into the wiring harness, or did you use an existing connector?

I used the existing connector. You have to unplug a wire connected on the passenger side (remove the panel by the footwell), and reconnect it using the piggyback wireharness that comes with the kickplates. Once you figure out the wire to disconnect, you're good to go. The old kickplates come off easily.
