That's not completely the case. I have changed out all the interior bulbs to LEDs, and the dimming function, while not as obvious as with regular incandescent bulbs, still occurs. The LEDs tend to go from 100% brightness to maybe 50% brightness, then they just go off abruptly. So the overall effect is not a constant fade-out, but there is still some dimming action.

So i would need 2 for the map lights, 2 for the front doors, 2 for the rear lights, and 2 for the license plate? Size 194 WLED-X5 for everything except my map lights and 921-X12 for my map lights? What size for the license plate and what color do you recommend? I was thinking cool blue. Thanks in advance....

go with white, it has a blue tint. I used the same size 194 bulbs 12LED for all areas. except the license plate i used the specific license plate 1.5w 194 bulbs found on ebay. If you buy them on ebay in bulk they are cheap

imo white looks the best for leds. the number of leds you get depends how bright you want them. i got x5 because i didnt want them to be too bright, some people say its not that bright but i like them that way.

My leds do the same thing they dim to a point and then just shut off but I did every bulb in the car including trunk glove box, fogs, corner light and blinkers(switch backs solid, with blinker=white,orange,white)....I did not due the rear turn signals cause the leds through a bad color pattern, and are really far off the color of the factory LEDS... I got all my bulbs from VLEDS....love the look will post picks later....

P.S i also got the DRL's

I definitely want to do the license plate lights. I always loved the way the Lexus' and new Bimmers looked with the LED license plate lights.

Caution - don't buy cheapo LEDs. They simply won't last very long before they start blinking and failing. Been there. Done that. Stick with some of the outfits mentioned frequently on this forum, which people have lots of experience with.

Damn you evilpanda!

I've had the lisc plate bulbs since I got the car, about 15 months ago.

I ordered the exact bulbs you did based on your post of what to buy (bought from superbrightleds.com).

I ordred the cool white. Hope it doesn't look goofy. Wondering if I should have just ordered "white".
