Does anyone know where i can buy black emblems for my G?? I just need the front and rear Infiniti emblems. i messed up painting my emblems so i just want to go ahead and buy black ones. Please any help will be appreciated.

 

just sand and repaint/clearcoat again till you get it right. I might try spraying mine with niteshades to get that black chrome look, just another up coming experment of mine OR you could try that new plastic dip craze

 

you can buy black chrome ones but they are $215...just buy a second set of regulars and paint them black on your own

 

Use acetone or goo-off on the messed up emblem.. then sand them down with 800 grit.. use VHT niteshades! 3 coats.. then wetsand them with 1500 grit.. polish and wax!

 

DO NOT use acetone on your G. Ever. If the acetone gets on your paint it can seriously damage it.

The ONLY time acetone should ever be near any part of your car is if you are using it to strip the paint from your tails (and they should be out of the car when you do it).

 

I ment to use acetone when removing the emblems from the car.

 

Lol yeah I know, and in using it to take the emblems off the car you will inevitably get it on the paint. It can cause serious damage to the paint if you use acetone that is too strong or it is in the paint for just a second too long

Not only that but it will eat through the clear coat like crazy

 

any idea how black emblems would look on a black g? i like the idea of black emblems but on a black car they may not stand out at all and just look misplaced.

 

I just sponge sanded them, used plastic black paint 3 coats. worked great. its been through about 20 car washes not one defect. If you are really that scared to do it yourself. you can send them to me ill paint them for you and send them back to you. just PM me

Just go on eBay to get your emblems. type in infiniti g37 rear emblem.
