Ironman LED DIY?

Has anyone tried doing an ironman style LED install themselves? I am already going to be taking apart the headlights to be sprayed and I was thinking it wouldn't be too out of reach to attempt this mod. But I'd like to know

1. Which LED's should be used
2. What wires to connect to/what resistors to use

If I do this I want to do it right the first time and not have to take the headlights apart more than once. Thanks for any info you can give me.
