Debadge/tint

debadged the INFINITI today. Wondering if I should remove the G37X too...

Getting windows tinted Thursday, have the 3rd brake light that is non functioning because I have the spoiler. I've heard people who had the tint guy tint the whole window but i was wondering if i should loosen the light to give some space for the guy since its pretty tight back there to get tint in. Any thoughts?

When I had my sedan and my wifes coupe tinted they actually cut a slanted box shape out of the film for the 3rd brake light but we don't have spoilers... if you want the entire window done I would def loosen light since the 3rd brake light isnt functioning any way good luck with the tints, keep us updated with the pics and def take the 37x off way cleaner looking...

any idea how he did it? I was looking at the back window and the light is pretty tight to the glass back there... I just dont want to get there and he has second thoughts and says he cant do it without cutting it out

they take the whole rear deck out, tint, and then put it back. That's the only way they can tint over the interior 3rd brake light space

not a big deal to do

i dont think thats the only way, i asked the guy if he wanted me to pull it out (i was tight on time) ans he said that he wasnt going to pull it out, now if he did he didnt tell me. i can ask if its that big of an issue, but just tell him what you want and its his job to do it. it shouldnt he hard at all. mine was tinted in like 1.5-2 hours total and it looks GREAT!

No need to take anything off. It is done very easily w/o uninstalling any parts.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll take a look at the DYI for removing the rear deck just in case he feels he can't do it. At least I'll then be able to loosen it instead of getting in an arguement telling him he should be able to do it.

They did my complete rear window without removing the 3rd light. As long as there is a space at lease wider than the film it can be slid between the window and the light.

back from getting the tint done. I'll post pics tomorrow as its dark out now. they took out the rear deck but it was put back well, no rattles or anything.

i noticed on the drivers side lower corner of the window near the small speaker the tint it kinda popped up and not "adhered"to the window. probably got pushed up a little from when the window moves down when the door opens.

is there any way I can put some water or something on it and try to flatten it myself? i have a feeling its not going to just start sticking on its own...
