From the perspective of time the only kit that could improve on the very refined look of the coupe is the Zele kit. Any other kit offers a different look with mixed emotions. There is nothing wrong with experimenting with a new look. In the case of the coupe the original design is so good it fights off any other attempts to dethrone it. Sometimes a certain original look is so unforgetable you don't dare to change it. You can emphasize it by the usage of some elements which are relatively insignificant to the whole design yet they draw attention to the package. You might get carried away with the add-ons without making a statement. It's sort of like listening to somebody in politics saying a lot without a deeper meaning. The process is quite wonderful and it helps us think by trying to define the elements which are very difficult to define due to the wide spectrum of human perception. Less is more my friends unless you offer so much it becomes a work of art.

Good points, although I think there's two different camps as far as defining what a lux sport coupe should look like. For some of us the G's look is far from perfect. Most apparently want a luxury car look with performance, others like myself want a performance car look with luxuries. Obviously infiniti designed to meet the Lux with performance crowd, all the kits so far have been tweeking that towards performance while maintaining the general G lines. The Zele no doubt does the best job but the huge angled grille area meshed just doesn't sit well with me and nobodies addressed this problem until now. This AIT kit delivers the performance car look, it's just unfortunate it's copied from the GTR. Then again as you put it, when you design something so well (GTR front) why change it. I think I can live with the heckling, I'd just tell them to get out of here and take your mommy's car home...lol.

Yes it is. And until that car hits about 150+ MPH, it will actually hurt performance more than help performance. I always get a kick out of big ricer wings.

Sorry I haven't been online to read the creative comments, but my house was broken into. Stuff was taken and life is GREAT after that. That last line was sarcasm for all of you that can't see past what somebody else tells you to think. You know who you are.

Anyway, I love playing the look-a-like game too.

Boy that was fun, hey.
I hate to tell you this guys but most cars on the road look like one car or another. And if you want to keep your car stock or use the same body kit that everybody else uses then who is copying who. And yes the kit copies the GT-R that is why they call it the GT-R kit.

You guys can voice your opinions... don't really care. I think I am as worried about your opinions as much as I am worried that the guy that robbed me got all my stuff back to his house in one piece and didn't drop anything. I put the pics up here to rep the company, that's why they GAVE me the stuff for the car. So that other people who DO like the kit can know that there is something else out there.

The side skirts are AIT's. Along with the rest of the kit on the car. It is the prototype for the new model kit they are making. It should be available next month.

Yea, on the track it's called Racer.. on the street it's called Ricer... just swap the A and I. My args not so much with the wing but how it's mounted. It would need to replace the existing wing, not mount over it for my taste. actually I'd just rather see the stock wing angled up a bit more and may be lengthened a inch.

Oh so you're not keeping the kit, just test fitting for them?

Sorry to hear about the break into your house

Thanks for speculating instead of knowing, but I don't have a spoiler on the car to mount over. Just the out of place chrome piece that comes with the car.
And to be honest I would have liked to see a replacement spoiler like you are describing. Kind of like the old G35 whale tail. But they don't have one. So just like the furniture that I build. I knew what I wanted, found materials to make it, and with pride built it myself. And I take away a good feeling because I was able to create it and not just WISH somebody else would make it.

Yeah Sam actually I am keeping the kit. I liked the other bumper (though not much a fan of the rounded off stock bumper), but I just like a car to have some edges and bite to it.

And thanks for the kind words.

A well designed spoiler that is properly matched with the car, and mounted in the correct position will have a noticeable effect at 60 mph.

Aerodynamics have come a long way in the last 30 years.

Simple proof: Look at the front bumper of ANY coupe with a TS/TS style front lip. There will be some noticeable damage from stress created by downforce

Yes, those wings on the boy racer Subaru STIs and Mitsubishi Evolutions are 100% functional.
