Fake vent project started
Fake vent project started
All right guys here's what I'm attempting, using small piaa xtreme white as a DRL and going to actually vent the brakes as well. Here are some rough pics of the materials I plan to use, wish me luck... Suggestions welcome
The current h3 bulb looks blue but is like 5000k white when powered up. I also have a led bulb if I want to use that. The vent hose will be routed to the wheel well and I'm using a directional round vent in there

UPDATE: took some panels loose under the bumper to ck it out a little, I'm encouraged that the washer tank looks like it will be amendable to my heat gun trick, I'll just heat it and deform it, for the clearence I need for the light, the brake duct hose looks like it will snake around the tank, again a little heat shaping. The h3 led bulb is not going to be as bright as the piaa bulbs, man those things will blind you!! So the plan is to take off the wheels and remove the wheel well panels, all the work will be done behind those. I want to do all my bulb changes, wheel spacers, drl lights ,brake ducting, all in one day. Fun,fun....

Hey, nice project. I have done the same thing, but used two tubes. One goes up to the intake for cold air and the other tubes go to the brakes. There is no way you will route the tube to the break vent with the windshield washer fluid bottle right behind it, you cant bend the tube in the small space.
Check out my thread on the build - https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...ent-light.html
I started the project around page 8 or 9 after trying the light thing to begin with.
Let me know if you have any questions!
