Color matched foglight bulbs

Has anyone swapped out the foglight bulbs in the coupe with something that is a better match for the color temp of the headlights? If so, what did you use and how well did it match?

I was thinking about looking into some VLEDs instead of swapping in a "whiter" bulb.

Ideas or comments?

Do you have those yogregb? Because those look awfully long and I remember trying to fit an LED in there and it wouldn't fly due to length.

I installed these and swapped out my headlights for 6K as well:

V-HIDS PREMIUM DIGITAL XENON HEADLIGHT KIT H1 6000K BLUE TINT

The colours match quite well after they've been on for a few minutes.

Might want to check your state laws, some require amber or white... purpleish would be illegal.

just go for 6000K on headlights and fogs so you have pure white on both. that's what I'm running and love it. basically makes 4 headlights

OEM is 4300K, 5000K is white but can still be yellowish depending on projectors, 5100K would definately be white. 6000K is white with a slight blue tint although it won't get you ticketed.

my 6000K are pure white, there is ZERO blue in them (I think it really depends on where you get them...there isn't an exact standard on color temp)

I got mine from HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

I've been running 10,000K bulbs for my fogs and 8000K in my headlights for my BMW. I have yet to be pulled over for it where I live. Maybe it depends on the cops in your area?

Didn't see anything about color requirement in Oregon.

Hmmm...

Cool.

I was planning on getting some 8000K for normal driving and 12000K for showing off on Saturday nights or whatever when my G37 gets here... Guess it shouldn't be a problem. I'll keep the stock bulbs in the glove box just in case, though.
