I was reading in the manual that it is not good for the xenon headlights longevity to turn them on and off frequently.
Every time I pull into my garage, during daylight hours, the headlights turn on. It seems to me that this will wear them out considerably faster then if I took them off the auto setting.
Any comments on this?

 

Leaving them on automatic is fine... As long as they aren't coming on and the going off every few minutes. Coming on when you pull in the garage is fine as long as it is not happening every few minutes.

They've been coming on for 2+ years every time I start up in my garage or drive into it. No problems.

 

I’ve heard that too and tend to agree. For me, turning on my own headlights as needed, even at my age, is no big deal.
