WOW! $391 Formula One Pinnacle Tint Delaware.

I just got off the phone with a rep from Formula One Tint in Delaware. She said that they are the only place authorized to install Formula One Tint, their tech are highly train, + have extra certifications etc. At the end the whole car except the front windshield. $391. She said people from NY/Jersey come all the way to Delaware to install this high end top of the line film. What you guys think?

I think that sounds about right. We only have 1 Formula One Tint installer here too and I believe they charge $350-$400.

Wow it's just tint. Unless it can go to solid black or something with a flick of a switch thats crazy. I think I paid like 150 tops for mine. I'm pretty sure it was Llumar too.

The place by my house charges about $160 for llumar and Johnson's including the front strip. $325 is pretty expensive. What is so nice about the formula one tint?

Ceramic films (non-metallic high end films) cost usually more than $300. Conventional metalized films are under $200. You have to realize that you get much better heat rejection w/ the high end stuff. At my tint shop, they showed a demo using a heat lamp to show the difference in heat rejection b/w the 2 film types. It was night and day difference. I was sold instantly! Some people automatically believe that darker the tint is, the better heat rejection you will get. Definitely not true! IMO it's definitely worth getting the high end films over the conventional ones.

Well, after research, pictures online, Specs of the tint quality, lifetime warranty etc. This seems to be the nicest one, looks very classy. Its ceraminc, not a dye, nor carbon based. I researched all the types of the llumar and Johnson's films, to me none come close to the pinnacle. By the way if you have llumar and Johnson's, which series did you guys get. There are TONS of tint shops where I live $150-$300. Your feedback is greatly appreciate it.

Michael Schumacher himself would have to install these and lick every window for me to pay that kind of money for a tint.

+1 - I think my tint has like a 10 year warranty againt fading or bubbling.... why would I pay $200 more for something that might be a different "shade"? I have 5% on the back windows which is basically black, is there a different color top secret black that I don't know about.

Now if it offered 100% UV protection, which I don't think ANY tint can offer, then I might pay that to save the longevity of the interior...
