Window doesn't come back up after closing door

So I have had my 09 vert for about a month, and everything has been working fine so far. However, today when I opened the door and got out of the car, then closed the door, the window went down, but never went back up. At first, I thought I hadn't closed it, so I got back into the car, closed the door, and turned it on again. However, as I opened the door again to get in, I realized that the window had gone down even further. The window will close using the using the switch, but when I get out again, it stays down again. If i just stand there and open and close the door multiple times, the window will lower itself almost all the way to the bottom.
Has anyone had this problem before, and are there any easy fixes that you might know of?
I've called the only dealer in town, and they said the service department was closed today (Sunday), so I'm kinda outta luck until tomorrow.

try resetting the windows.

hold both window buttons all the way down for at least 5 seconds, then hold them both all the way up for at least 5 seconds

Sounds like the sensor is off or bad. The window ls roll down a little when you open the door so it seals and doesn't stress the glass.

Yeah you just need to hold it for 15 seconds both ways, this happened to me whenever I disconnected the battery.

oh sweet mother of Jesus. I've been fighting with the f%$%ing window with the same problem for 15 min today. I googled how to reset the windows and a thread from G35 forum says "remove the door panel and reset the motor and blah blah.." I kinda freaked out and just found this thread. I'm gonna try this out. thanks

You guys don't need to take the panel out and reset motor...
There are 2 simple ways to fix the issue:
1}Unscrew screw that holds the the door switch and rescrew it again...
or Keep door open
Press the door switch a few times... and your window should work fine...

This also happened to me and I thought that it was because of the mods4cars module. but I read the owners manual about how to reset the windows and that worked. I cant remember the exact sequence but all the instructions are in the owners manual.

If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the
following procedure to initialize the power window
system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window completely by operating
the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it
to close the window, and then hold the
switch more than 3 seconds after the
window is closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate
the window by the automatic function
to confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.
