Seibon Vented Carbon Fiber Hood

I picked one up from Amplified Motorsports and decided to try it out at the track today (Willow Springs). I decided to buy it because it was a good deal and because I had seen a few articles in Import Tuner confirming that vented hoods work.

It worked great today..no fitment issues. I obviously could feel heat leaving each of the vents after tracking. I drove home in an hour of rain and had no water in my engine bay...So if you are thinking of tracking your G this summer, it seems to be a good mod.

so how does the water escape the vents without dripping inside the engine bay?

Water goes in. I've had mine through numerous rainy days (light and heavy) and numerous washes. No problem. I have an Injen CAI too. Not stock intake box. But as long as you don't submerge half of your front in water, it should be ok.

I just drove around in heavy rain on Saturday. I also parked the car while out in the rain. This time I did get water in my engine bay. I will probably use the vented hood for the summer months in Cali but switch back to stock in the winter months.
