Custom head lights

I posted a few weeks back about a scratch in the lens of my head light. Unfortunately, using wet sand and polish, I could not fully restore the headlight as the scratch was a tad too deep.

I am now considering custom head lights, however I have no idea how much these will cost to buy+install. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am currently looking at 180custom.com

This is for a black 2009 Sedan

Sorry to hear that.

A new set of headlights from private sale, will be anywhere from 400-800. Brand new ones from the dealership can be 1k+.

Cost of custom work would depend on what you want but it can be had in the range of 400. It varies greatly depending on the different headlight vendors too (I can think of 4 to choose from).

It appears the custom headlights are cheaper, so I see no reason why I would want just 1 OEM head light. Might as well go custom especially since my friend is paying (and will never touch a shovel in my drive way again).

Can anyone suggest a nice set for a black sedan? I am looking for something a bit edgier than the OEMs with a sporty/lux edge. Nothing crazy like bad a$$ black or something.

Dealer quoted me at 1300 and I walked out laughing.

i think you misunderstand. "Custom Headlights" are not fabricated replacements. The vendor, like Danny at Limited Edition, would take your headlight, perform custom mods to it, then ship it back to you.

I just figured that out! Makes sense now. So modding my OEM head light would still leave the scratch in visible most likely.

That's why you may need to first get a good headlight replacement to be modded.

Gotcha, well a guy is willing to trade:

For Sale: official A mfn O PART OUT - G35 NYC

What do you think of those on a black sedan? Silver projection shroud. I like contrast, so may be a bit dark for my taste, but I guess I could possibly get more modding done to the light.

I'm also interested in looking at headlights. I noticed most of these places do conversions, but do any of you guys know of anywhere that sells custom headlights as a whole unit? I'm asking cause my G37 sedan was pretty much wrecked by some idiot running a red and now I'm looking into different headlights as a result. Since my entire front end is ruined. Thanks for any help.

Sure, I can pick up a set then mod it for you that way you'll have no down time and also a second set of headlights.

But the cost for the additional set of headlights would obviously have to be factored in. Refer to post #2 for pricing.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks for the support guys! Looking to have new things to offer very soon!

Nothing against Limited, just prefer local as I also want to get my grill painted potentially.

I am not sure how I feel about the black head lights. May be too much of a change for me.

What do you guys think that would look good on a black sedan?
