poly urethane or not?
hello, just received a kit that's suppose to be unbreakable but guess what? it's broken in pieces and i need your help to see if this is poly or not lol.
How did you break it?
My guess is not Polyurethane, or not the ones I've seen or used.

Doesn't make sense that if it's poly, how it could incur that kind of damage in shipping....

it came like that with all those pieces broken and cracked in different places. most likely it got damaged during shipping. i'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how this could happen if it is poly lol.
well, what ever it is the seller agreed to refund me already. i'm getting them repackage tomorrow and ship it back asap.

Negative, we still have the first batch of lips in stock. Lips are poly, they're just thick poly, when the factory asked me whether I wanted to use thin or thick poly, I asked for thick because I took NYC drivers into consideration, and everyone bottoms out here or hits a pot hole. If this lip bottoms out, it won't bend and crack the paint off that easily. They use the same thickness poly for full bumpers, if you guys ever felt a 1st gen coupe Nismo bumper, you'd know what I'm talking about.
Next batch is going to be thinner poly because thick poly takes longer to form back to shape unlike thin poly.
Skirts and rear is being made out of thin poly as well.
I toss these lips around all the time, especially when packaging, they're very hard to break... I used FedEx to ship the lips and they're just wrapped in foam padding and bubble wrap, so all FedEx had to do was place a heavy box on one of the ends and it would easily crack the lip, especially considering its like 15 degrees here in the North East, and any type of plastic will be a lot more fragile. That crack looks almost as if the lip shattered... which only brings me to think that it happened during shipment in cold climate.
W/e it's not a big deal, I offered either a full refund or a new lip.

glad to see both parties were able to reach an agreement and not end in a sour note...i know the weiboy would have loved to have had this in preparation for Wek'fest. i am sure he will find something to get before than
