While looking for Gloss Black emblems for our cars I found a shop who can get Gloss Black emblems for all G37's.
The shop is giving a good deal if we can get a minimum of 5 people interested.

They are offering a complete set of Brand New OEM emblems painted Gloss Black
This includes:
Front Emblem
Rear Emblem
"INFINITI" wording
"G37s" nameplate

The price would be $200 shipped if we can get the minimum of 5 people

how does he plan on painting them and keeping the "INFINITI" straight and even?

 

I am assuming he will be painting new lettering/emblems from the dealer. They come in a thin foam template. They are already properly spaced, all you do is remove the backing and apply.

 

Once debadged, adhesive remains should be still visual and easy to follow. That's what I did with my emblem

Yes they're chrome I'm looking to buy the Black emblems for my car also with this group buy. They've painted my grille and trunk lid only.

 

I think it'd be cool...but $200 seems a little high...any chance of the price coming down if there are >5 people?

 

How bout just the trunk emblem? Not for nothing but the emblems really arent hard to paint by your self. $200 sounds a bit high.

I would only be interested in the trunk emblem. That price is pretty close to what the factory accessory kit in black chrome would cost anyway.

 

200 is a pretty good price you cheap bastards. Infiniti parts are not cheap.

Total - 97.72 before shipping just for all the emblems/lettering

Then they still have to be sanded, primed, painted, cleared, buffed, repacked, and shipped. If you subtract out the cost of paint/materials, honestly the painter is only making about 40 dollars for all of his time.
