auto adjusting seats

I don't quite understand this. I have my seat adjustments programmed. I'm always the one getting in and out of the car.
I have the function backing up the seat and lifting the steering when I turn off the car.

The weird thing is, when I unlock the door using the button on the handle and I open the door, the seat and steering starts adjusting immediately.
Now, by the time I sit, the seat and steering change their mind and start backing up again. Then I start the car and once again, the seats and steering change their mind and get to my preset position.

Why does the seats and steering wheel start ajusting when I open the door, only to back up after a few seconds only to go back after I start the car?

Maybe your fob is confused on who was last driving the car. If you rotate between people, I think, the fob defaults to the last person's drivers setting and may need to be adjusted. It may also be resting (moving seat back and steering wheel up and in) at the wrong times. Check with the delear. I have not noticed what you describe.

Yeah, mine has never done this either. Try programming your settings to your remote. To do this, get in and start the car. Push your preset number that you use (1 or 2). Once the seat is where you want it, hold the set button for a few seconds, then hold your preset number again (1 or 2) for a few seconds. It should light solid. Then press the unlock button on your remote. The light should flash indicating that the settings are programmed to your remote. See if that works! If any of my steps are wrong, your manual tells you how to do it. Hard to remember off the top of my head!

yes, I'll try to reprogram the remote, it was done with the salesman at the dealer. I'm the only one using the car with always the same fob so that's not the problem.
I'll try to reprogram everything and tell you how it went.
It's stupid, I open the door and the seat doesn't wait for me to get in place and in the middle of it, it regrets and gets back. So I'm always trying to sit in a moving seat.

Something is messed up with the memory then if you are not switching fobs. I think a trip to the dealer is unfortunately necessary.

You could try disconnecting the battery for a short while to reset everything, but just remember to reset the windows(15sec down/15 sec up) and your radio/Nav codes.

^^ Agree.

The seat should not start moving when you unlock the doors. When getting in it only move to your preset when you push the start button. Somehow it's confused so as indicated try clearing and reprogramming.
