Question Window Tint Brand and Pricing questions

I'm looking to get window tints for my new BO sedan. Called a few places and wanted to see if the forum thought their prices were reasonable.

I've been reading through some of the tint threads and the prices have been lower than what I'm seeing. Could these cheaper prices have been for coupes? Would it make much of a difference?

Also, I think the shops have been quoting me the high end films. Would anyone recommend using a less expensive film? If so, what brand/style.

Do I really have to worry as much about signal interference as these shops are making it sound?

The quotes I have so far (for 4 door windows and rear window):

Huper Optik nano-ceramic: $389 installed
FormulaOne Pinnacle: $350 installed
3M (guy didn't say what line, but pretty sure it's the 3M Color Stable 35): $299 installed

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Am I just a sucker for upselling?

If you are not really a "gotta-have-special-expensive-tint-look-at-me" than you can't go wrong with Llumar. It is quality and has a lifetime warranty. I don't know what those tint guys are telling you about signal interference, but I think it is just a load of crap. I have never put anything other than Llumar on all of my cars. It is reasonably priced and is quality (won't turn purple or bubble) with a lifetime warranty.

It does make a difference the number of windows. Also, IMO I would never pay more than $175 for a tint job on a sedan. My last sedan I had tinted was $120 with llumar.

Also, don't let them tell you that the lower % of tint costs more bc it is all the same unless you get mirrored or something "special".

I know a guy in Jax, if you travel down there, that is a mobile window tinter that is really great. He did my G37 and Camaro and 2x Explorers. It think each was $120 ($140 for SUVs) to put on, and $100 to remove tint.

I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a tint job no matter which brand I go with.

Check out other town.

You can see my tint in this thread

It cost $175 for the whole tint job using SolardGard HP Quantum tint. It has a lifetime warranty, looks awesome, and since it has some reflective properties, it cools the car waaaaaay better than regular dark tint can. I am extremely happy with it!
