Headlight issues

Headlight issues

all the DIY headlight is almost over becuase of my stupid mistake
i was buffing the lamp cover with 3M headlight cleaner to clean my headlight up for the last step and i buffed it too much so i need to get clear headlight cover. i called dealership and they only sell the entire headlight
any idea where i can get only head light cover?

Aw man that totally sux. File this one under "Too much of a good thing". The work you did looked great and you should be proud of the achievement - dont let this minor set back wig you out. As many suggested, the least expensive solution is a junkyard or slavage yard. Hunts Point in NYC (Bronx) has several yards that may be able to help you out. Alternatively, you can check eBay...

where can i get new one??? instead of getting a new pair of headlight

just what do you mean by buffed too much...if anything you can always sand it smooth and clear coat it. as long as it is the outside.

dang man. that sounds bad. I made the mistake of messing up my headlights last year and had to buy whole new one at a whopping $1,100.00

try taking it to a body shop and see if they can fix it....even if it's on the inside they still might be able to fix it...but keep the cleaners away from the INSIDE of the light
