SE is losing a lot more then $150 because of this thread. They should just do a full refund and call it a day (especially when it was a bad fitment part), except they enjoy losing future customers.

I'm going to chime in real quick. I'm not here to bash anyone. Just trying to state my opinion.

When I first saw the prototype SE intake a few months ago, I was amazed on the quality of the tube, velocity stack, and the paint they used. Everything was super smooth and top notch condition. Especially where the welds inside the tubes are. But then I saw some of the CF pieces they made. Engine cover, radiator shroud, and the battery covers. Wait, they weren't battery covers! They were merely just taped on piece that goes on top of the existing battery covers. Although I do understand that it is VERY hard to shape CF into the clips to secure the covers, I thought it looked tacky and unfitting. In my opinion, SE CF quality wasn't quite there yet with some of the manufacturers out there, yet they were still charging top dollars for their products.

What I'm trying to say is, that, some of their products might have some qualities in them, but not everything will be perfect. And even if their products might be in good qualities, I still can't justify spending what they charge on their products.

Just look at S2000 community. People ONLY purchase the proven products and they pay top dollars for them. Why? Because people believe in each companies' reputation and their product qualities.

Entertainment for my Tuesday.

If majority of the people with the diffuser agrees with Jeff, then it'd be in SE's best interested to refund. If the majority that purchased the diffuser have had no problem with the product, then SE needs to stand firm with their policy. You want to upkeep your reputation but at the same time, there will always be that 1 person asking for more than what is reasonable.

PS. There might be a secret CF expert (with proper training, background, and experience) doing something something that hasn't been discussed yet

There's no point in refunding anymore, reputation took a beating already.

Does that mean I should cancel your pre-order?
