Yakima Roof Rack available! :)

Hey Guys,

Just went to Yakima.com and put in our G37 Coupe application and it looks like they do make a roof rack for our car! Just spoke to a rack company and I have already put in the order. Will be arriving next Wednesday. I will install and take pictures. Just wanted to let everyone know how excited I am about this.

I don't know what the final product will look like because I think I'll be one of the first G37's with the roof rack installed, but I can assure you it will not be over the trunk like the 350Z.. Remember, we don't have a rear hatch like the 350Z. I'm guessing it will end up looking like any traditional roof rack with the typical mounting places.

I'll have pictures up after Wednesday delivery.

I already have it on my 37 for my road bikes. It does not have bars on the trunk. only the roof. there is enough roof for that. its not like the 350/370 roofs that are so small. dont have any pics of racks on.

Very kool! Any chance you can post up some pictures so I can use for reference when installing the base rack system?

Yeah, my bikes don't see as much action since the Audi gave way to the G. Hope they work well, its a skill trying to put the rack on by yourself without giving some nice sratch marks to the roof.

What's on the mounting surfaces of the rack to prevent any scratches to your paint?
