Headlamp Washers?

I was looking under the hood of my new 2009 G37 sedan this afternoon. I noticed a fuse relay box that was labeled on top with what was in it. There was a spot on the box that was labeled as "H/L Washer". Do we have headlamp washers? I didn't think we did.

Not sure what that fuse is for but we don't have headlight washers.

I think JDM requires the car to have headlamp washers if it has xenon headlights to avoid glare when the headlight lenses get dirty.

Too bad it is not an option in the US. I had them on a Volvo, and they were nice to have.

I'm really tired of manufacturers making their cars cheaper for the U.S. market. This is a really nice option and I wish we had it. I bet it'd be hard to add since it probably requires a new bumper, plumbing, motors and sprayers.

TX_Driver, you're right. Insurance premium would most llikely bump up to an ouch when bumpers have hidden plumbing, washer, etc. Replacement costs for bumper benders probably got equated when they were marketing the G37 for US consumption.

Yeah the Euro models have them as headlamp washers are required by law over there for all cars with HID headlamps. Euro models also have front and rear ultrasonic parking sensors.

Sounds like a very doable project if you can get the parts. Knock yourself out and be the first kid on the block with them.
