Bats overlays question

I'm about to order Bats GTR tails, headlights and rear valance....as soon as damn Paypal desides to do their stupid verification thing
Now I'm in the St. Louis area and I doubt there's any installers Bat could recommend to me. Can I just go to my local window tint guy?
Also, if the dealer happens to wash my car (which they like to do even when I tell them not to) is there a chance they might snag a corner somewhere...I dont want any peeling....
There's no headlight or tail light removal required to install these is there?
Sorry about all the noob questions

Yea you can try a tint shop but vinyl and tint are two different things. Better to find someone with experience installing vinyl. I found a guy at a local Speed shop that did custom graphic installs and vinyl work.

Dude never let the dealer wash your car, have him write it on the work order. Mines never failed to honor my request.

No light removal required and it shouldn't be damaged by washing in any way.

Another vote for a vinyl or graphics guy. As far as the dealership washing your car def make them put a permanent note in your file. I'm sure they would rather not wash it anyways...

how hard are bats tailight overlays to remove? Is it just a simple peal and no damage or trace left behind? I was to try the 3/10 shade but if it's still too dark for my liking I'll just take them off...

^ for dealership car washes.. it depends. Some dealership have their own car wash divison (a business within business) like the one I go to (Beshoff Infiniti). They always do a great job with the car washes. If the dealership washes the cars by themselves then yeah they do a bad job as I have experienced it myself.

Yeah I'm scared of them washing my car after what they did to my G35. They washed it once after I specifically told them NOT TO. After I picked up my car there was a huge deep gash down the passenger side front fender and a friggin paint chip on the driver side door I was like WTF but then I realized its a bunch of damn kids that works at that dealership and washes cars. I'm gonna have some words with the service manager when I take my G37 in for its first service!

Sweet! That made me think of a guy from a local performance/audio shop that smoked my tail lights with some heavy duty vinyl in my old G35 coupe and did an immaculate job a few years ago. I just dug up his number and called him...he remembered me
I'm thinking of the Bats 6/10 GTR overlays. That will look hot on my IP. Anyone got pics of an IP with those on??

The only person I'd let wash my car other then myself is a professional detailer. Workin at the carwash level skills can not pass go... I'd be surprised if your dealer gave out free washes with service and used two buckets let alone multiple towels and mits per car and also changed them for fresh with each car.

Hi RedG37SNC-

I understand your caution in not allowing anyone but a professional detailer to touch your car. A lot of damage can be done with incorrect wash techniques or negligence. We share this concern!

However, you can be certain that Beshoff does indeed use a two bucket hand wash system with RO water and grit guard in the bottom of the buckets. Our mitts and microfiber towels are only used if they are in excellent condition. If a mitt or towel touches the ground, it is pulled and sent out for washing. No joke. We have given countless tours of our service area and do so without staging. The point here is we do it correctly every time. We would not dare risk damaging a car.

Anyone interested in seeing how we care for the cars we wash is welcome to stop by unannounced and we will give you a tour. We actually enjoy showing this off. You can inspect the condition of the mitts, towels and the cleanliness of the water in the buckets. We are proud of our attention to detail and take satisfaction is showing this to our customers. What we have read on review sites and forums regarding our car washes and details are overwhelmingly positive, so this has been an good investment of our resources. We care and it shows.
