replaced with non-AFS headlight. How to stop AFS light off

So, my car is equipped with the AFS package, and I replaced one of my headlights. And since the harness for AFS isnt plugged in, my dashboard blinks 'AFS off' all the time.

I want to stop it from blinking, does anyone have any idea how I can get the car to stop it and maybe think the harness is plugged in or whatever?

(Basically I want to maybe just run 1 light AFS mode the other one is not AFS equipped)

I believe I need to put a resistor into the harness possibly, but I dont know enough about this.

Any suggestions is appreciated

try to switch the afs to "off" , it's the switch near the trunk open and vdc off. it may stop blinking after you start the car next time. just a guess.

There is nothing that will make the light go off except using AFS lights. You may be able to go into your instrument panel and remove the AFS indicator light. Good luck.

Well I cant find an AFS one anywhere except dealer, which is obviously overpriced. I decided I'd get a normal one until there are more g37s, and then switch it out with AFS in the future (When I can find one).

I think there is a way to do it by messing with the harness a bit... essentially just letting the car think there is one plugged in. I read something like this a while ago but cant find it.

No smart ideas? I'm debating to just start sticking resistors into the extra harness that is supposed to plug into the motor for the AFS light, and see where it takes me lol

talk to Igor... he's a good seller and will take care of you. You're better off getting the right headlights in.

Brought this back from the dead to ask, did anyone try just unplugging the AFS control module?
