That has nothing to do with it. I've seen Maserati's, MB's, BMW's, and all other luxury cars where the owner had tailight overlay's installed. It has nothing to do with luxury, but more for looks.

Overlay's really turns heads. Trust me

I got mine painted and i drive with my running lights. The red LEDs are really bright so you should be good during the day as far as lights being visable. Depending on the state, its illegal for tinted tail lights so if its illegal in your state, get light covers so you can put them back on after youre pulled over. If you get them painted where its not completely black, tell the cops your car came like that. the 93 on RX 7 came with tinted tail lights.
