LEDs for parking lights?
LEDs for parking lights?
I've read on here that some of you that stuck LEDs for the parking bulbs in the headlights have had trouble with them burning out. I currently have PIAA Xtreme White bulbs in mine, ok they look cool but just arent bright enough. I have some extra WLED-x5 5led cool white leds sitting around and some extra 921w-12 12led bulbs leftover from my led swap. I bought them at superbrightleds.com. Can I use any of those for parking bulbs, and which ones would look better/brighter. The 12's I have in my license plates and are crazy bright but seem to have more of a spotlight effect. The 5's I have for my dome and doors; they seem to be more wide angle so maybe those would look best...hmmm. I could maybe even order some different ones from superbrightleds just have no idea what part #
Anyone done this? Pics? How long do they last in the headlights? Oh I hardly EVER run my foglights around here...

Well it's just a parking light right? I wouldn't expect it to project light out in front of the car. It's just there so people will see you while parked if you have your headlights off.
Check out V-LED's and get the SMT Tower II. I have had those bulbs in my parking lights for about 6 months without any problems. They're significantly brighter than either the 5-LED or the 12-LED from superbright. Also, they're a much better color match to the stock 4300K projectors. They're probably in the 5000K range, but I thought the superbrightleds were closer to 6500K which made them look really blue next to the projectors. However, since I had the Arc Reactor mod done, I NEVER turn on my fog lights. Besides, IMO our fog lights are borderline useless.
