ya unfortunatly infititi paint SUCKS and its down to the silver. im really **** about the car because it was my dads and he passed it down to me when he passed away. so i keep it perfect all the time. i am buying another car so i dont have to drive my g around a bunch anymore...just on the weekendsssss
you're not going to be able to get the factory paint. all body shops use different paint suppliers. most reputable shops will use high quality brands (dupont, basf glasurit, ppg, sikkens, spies hecker, etc.). the quality of the paint match and the texture match depends on the quality of the shop and skill of the painter at that shop. also, pearls are an additional factor in repair difficulty. three stage paints (pearl being the second stage to be applied) requires a very experienced tech to make it look right.
do research on the best shop to take your car to and forget about getting the actual factory paint. google or get on a local car forum to find out which shop is the best in your area.
