Window Tints

Hey guys just asking for your opinions. I am thinking of doing 35% for the back and rear windows and 40% for two front windows. Do you guys think this will look wierd? Anyone have this combination and can share some pictures? I also thought about doing 40% all around but I think the 35/40 combo would look better. I live in Cali so I don't want to get pulled over for tints. Thanks guys.

If your interior is light you might be able to go a bit darker or, use the 35 all around. I did 25% (in California too) with a light grey interior and it looks fine. I've had 3 different cops stop and talk to me about the car and they never even looked at it. I did get talked to one morning when gassing the car up about my lack of front plate. He was real cool and just told me to get the bracket (whew!). Maybe it's because I'm an older guy.

Kevin..

I live in SD and have 30% all the way around. Never been stopped for tint. Knock on wood. I have a dark car and dark interior, so it looks a little darker. Ive always been a fan of having the same percentage all the way around. It just looks cleaner

Thanks for the replies so far, yes I will also have dark (graphite) interior. So you guys think that I'll be safe with 35% tint all around?
Also, is there such thing as 37% or 38% tint? I think I read somewhere on this forum about some guy who had 38% tint, I could be wrong.

I think it's 70% for front windows haha, but when you are driving you see everyone has tinted windows that are much much darker. I might just go with the 35% all around.

xlack what color is his car? Mine will be BO. Hmm your suggestion is like my original idea of 35% back and 40% front side windows. Do you have any pictures of your friend's car?

Did you even get the car yet?

I would say go for 35% all around.

It wouldn't make a lot difference but look cleaner.

It's comming in less than 10 days! Might go with Huper Optics but I think that would be costly. Need to get a price quote. Also to my understanding it only comes in 30%,40%,50%, and 60%.

Go 20% all around....your not gettin pulled over for tints. You have to be speeding or something, then get an a*hole cop who wants to tack on other stuff.
