What's the weight on that hood? Or, what weight did you shave off by switching? I'm toying with this as well...

I didn't weigh the hoods but just from moving them around, they are either the same weight or the original is lighter. I was shocked at how light our originals are.

One thing I am curious about? How many of you are going out and professionally racing their G's at night? Seems to be a lot of worry about shaving a pound here and there? I think if I was gonna be that worried about it, I would have bought a Miata and stuffed a 2JZ into it!!

I second guess myself on my purchase of a G every now and then. I see the M3's, GTR's, RS4's, all the higher hp cars that I could have bought instead. Of course I love speed, and having the fastest thing around is always tempting, but my opinion is, WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING CARS AVAILABLE! Until Top Secret comes and offers me a driving contract, I won't sweat the race prep on my G!

Current Race Prep -
-put down the Big Mac and no super sizing those fries
-Remove hood, trunk and doors
-NASCAR Duct Tape job on all wind resistance points
-Floor Mats - GONE
-Ash Tray and Lighter - Ba Bye
-Power Seats? in my Race Car, I don't think so!
-Hmm, save 10 lbs with aftermarket exhaust or 30 with open headers. Well, loud is in these days :P
Here's where it gets fun-----
-feet on dash - pull Navi and stereo
-Now, borrow neighbors Rotty, let him chew out the back seat, make sure you whipe up all drool, every ounce counts!
-take those 20" wheels off and mount 4 RX7 Enkie spares - this requires the removal of our BBK, who needs them, going fast has nothing to do with brakes, oh wait, till you wanna stop. Might have to reconsider that one

Not flaming I promise, just really bored at work and trying to pass the time!

Add the mods you like, screw what everyone else thinks. We have gorgeous cars that run pretty damn good.

Walk outside and give your G a hug today, then smack her on the *** and tell her she's sexy! She's a Dirty, Dirty Girl!!!!

Just takes a little patients to get it lined up. I still haven't cut shims to get rid of the gap in front, haven't got off my lazy *** to do it yet. Once those are in place it should be perfect.
