Question Bat's Tail Light Overlays

Hello All,

I was finally able to take my car into the shop (Infiniti Dealership) to have an installer put on Bat's overlays on my car taillights. The dealership called me today stating the overlays was bigger than the taillight and they would have to trim this and might cause scratches on my taillight. Anyone experiencing this? Did Bat's send me a "bad" overlays?

Thanks

DT

You're the first one I heard getting Bat Overlays done by a dealership. The dealerships don't even do tints themselves so I wouldn't trust them on putting those on for you.

But to answer your question, the bat overlays do come a little bigger so you can wrap around the edges. Its best to take off the tail lights and then put the overlays on.

They come a little bigger to allow room for some slack.

The dealership has a tint guy that come in and does work for them. I had the dealership retint my driver window because the tint keep coming off on that side (see other post). I had the tint redone three different times. The last tint guy blame it on a defective gasket in the window. I took it to the dealership and they told me there is nothing wrong with the window and they will guarrantee the tint if I allow their guy to retint my window.

Hence, the overlays question on this post. I wanted to ask this guy to also do the tail light for me. I did not end up doing this because they told me the overlays were "too" big and they had to trim it and would cause scratches to my tail light.

The dealership also does other mods...exhaust, springs, wheels, tires, and so forth. I actually got a quote from the dealership for Eibach springs....Gave me a quote of $1000 installed....OMFG

their install guy is a retard. find a new installer asap. you want the overlays to be bigger to make sure you get an excellent fit. my guy wrapped the edges around the ends of the lights for 100% coverage and was able to carefully trim any excess without damaging my car.
