Driver's side break light broken

Hi all,

The shell part (the red part) of my break light is broken and the body shop I called said it is $250 to replace it. (he said it comes only as an assembly)
Is that reasonable price?

yea, taillights aren't like headlights, and even if you WERE able to crack the taillight open, where are you gonna find the extra lense cover? dealership doesn't sell that separately...so you'd still need to buy another taillight....u can try junkyard...but i doubt it since the g37 is still pretty new
