I recently had my headlights professionally smoked and I dont like it anymore. Is any way I can remove the coating. Do I have to buffed it out? That also came after I cracked one of my tail lights which are smoked also yesterday morning. The cracked is not noticeable unless I turn the lights on.

Painted I assume? I had my tails painted and successfully removed the paint. Basically wet sand them for hours. Start with 320 grit, then 600, then 1500, then 2000. Then use some rubbing compound and wax the lights, then use plastic polish to finish it off.

I have all the headlight bulbs in order to replace but I wonder if is going to improve or degrade my visibility?
