After a few hours of sanding, the lights are almost back to stock. I polished them with plastic polish and they look perfect! Actually left the outside painted and it looks kind of cool.

Thanks, the GT3 is a fun ride.
After this experience I would highly recommend just doing overlays. I actually have the 6/10 GTR overlays sitting here. I'll probably end up putting them on, however my lights like pretty cool right now since I left certain parts painted.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow after I'm finished, not sure if I'll leave them. Basically just left the outsides and the part near the reverse light painted.

Here's how the lights are, for now. As you can see I left the sides and bottoms smoked, not sure if I'll keep it like this or just do the overlays. Still needs to be polished more but you get the idea.

looks like you did a good job. probably just a bit less glossy than normal. i guess you'd have to see them next to stock lights to compare.

Surprisingly, they are actually just as glossy as stock, almost 99% perfect. If you look VERY closely you can see some minor scratches, but no big deal. I am very surprised they are as glossy as they after I sanded them so much lol.
