design my G

ok, ive had my vibrant red g37 since february 08. i have 16500 miles on it.

now, ive decided that i want to figure out something to do to it. something visual though. i don't want a new exhaust or do anything under the hood. and the only other thing i cant do is get a drop. it will drag EVERYTHING around where i live.

and i dont want to spend massive amounts of money, like on a carbon fiber hood.

basicly im looking for something semi-cheap to do that will better the appearance of my G.

i really like bats overlays. i was thinking getting headlights, tail lights, the one that covers up the chrome lip, and the piece that goes on the roof?
do you guys think tha would be too much?

my windows are tinted.

also, something im really considering. i want to do something with my rims... but i dont want to buy another whole new set. i'm thinking about powdercoating... ? any creative ideas that would look good for the rims?

thx.

i was just thinking also, but idk how this would look....

what if 5 of the spokes were black, and the other 5 were left alone, and then the lip of the rim was black also?

or paint all of the spokes, 2 slightly different shades 50/50 and then the lip the darker of the 2 colors?

Black out your tail lights... **** overlays ..

get some LED lights

and i would say just drop it .. get a semi low dorp like the eibach pro kit .. or the tanabi drop .. something small to close up the gap ..

+1, dont do that spoke painting thing, it wont look right. heres a few things:
-Smoke the lights
-Maybe ironman, if your into that
-PC rims, maybe a graphite grey or i think i saw a red / bronze

your not lookin to spend that much, so there isnt much you can do. This car is expensive; may as well keep it stock i think.

*shakes head* @ the paintin wheels ideas....

Get some 6k HIDs from andy @ HP Auto there prolly the best hid deal out there and the warranty is GREAT.....

I think you could do a small drop be ok.... the only thing you need to worry about is a steep *** driveway... then u cant do it but thats the only think i can think of ...

1) hmm i like the 6k hid idea... and i'd like to do something w/ the "yellow lights" in my head lights. those are the park lights right? the ones that shine along w/ the projectors. not the fog lights.

would i have to take my car somewhere to have the lights installed?

2) and yeah, i'd love to do a drop ... but the hill i live on i already have to go so slow and take it at an angle. there are several places around town that i bottom out already. i live in the app mntns.

3) whats a stillen front splitter?

and as far as budget.. i'm trying to spend the least amount of $$ possible...

any ideas of an estimate to how much powder coating costs? i've never looked into it. i guess just go to an autobody shop?

*mYK pimps your G!

nwryuber...

How much exactly is your budget?

But here's what I would do with that VR.

DIY black out your grill . . . . $50
HPA HID capsule upgrade / whiter foggies (not HID) . $150
LED's from superbrightleds.com $50
Stillen front splitter . . . . . .$200 * search this forum if you don't know what it is.
Bats overlays
headlights, tails, roof, rear valence. $300 approx. incl. prof. installation
Powdercoated stockies. (I'd go dark gunmetal, or matte black) $~400 ??? *no idea

There, About $1200. and it will change the entire appearance of your G. I tried to follow all your stipulations above.

ok

ok, thanks for your input guys. i thin ive figured out waht i'm going to do finally.

i'm going to get the overlays for headlights and taillights, and then one for the roof as well.

i'm going to powdercoat the rims, haven't decided on the color yet. i guess to match the overlays.

but the question i'm pondering now is .... i was thinking about getting the spokes powdered. and leaving the lip stock alloy. what do you guys think of that?

those are some good mods to do and photoshop the rims before you make a decision on that

I have never seen that done before on here
