TS carbon fiber hood and Fujita intakes?
I was just wondering if the TS hood will be ok with my fujita intakes. My car is not garaged and when it rains it sits in the rain and I'm afraid of getting water in my engine when I start it up after sitting out in the rain. Hopefully someone can chime in.
well I have the same hood on my car and when it rains or when I wash my car.. I have a huge plastic bag that I put on my motor and prevents water from getting anywhere near the motor....
homie, prepare for a filthy engine bay....everything oxidized and things starting to rust...if you left your car garaged its one thing, but outside everyday is not cool with that much venting...
its a sick hood but it will make a mess of ur engine bay...either way good luck with it...just try 2 clean it a few times a week...
also it will get ur filters if it pours...def upgrade to the new stillen....i know i am....haha

General question, since our cars come stock with a solid hood (no openings). Would there be a way to have the TS hood and block the vents? That way we have the look without the hassle?

not jsut dirty, but there are butt load of electronics to get ruined and metals to oxidize n rust...its not about having a show car, i know this guy likes to keep under his hood clean and its painted under there also...i know i like to keep my ish cleaned under there all the time, i take pride in it...unlike alot of people dont care it gets all dusty n dirty...thats not how i do things...so i guess its personal preference...also he has fujita open air intakes which will pretty much be right under the vents..
[QUOTE=NJlakeshoreG;2448645]im pretty sure you can do something, but it kinda defeats the purpose...it extracts heat from under the hot n sweaty engine bay...lol...
I agree but worst case senario and someone wants the looks but doesn't wanna deal with the engine maint. I'd love to have this hood. Maybe replace the screening with a tighter hole screen.(get ur minds out of the gutter lol)

Sorry I got caught up in all the whoha
I don't think i would risk it. Especially since the intake tubes are short and the distance is very minimal to the TB. I would sell them and go G3 just to be safe. Few $$ lost for peace of mind on a ton of $$$ more is priceless.
