Front License plate

Anyone know of a nice bracket w/out holes preferably something aligned off to the left or right of the car not dead center? just curious on how it will look, or any other plate brackets even if its centered? anything really. I don't want to be so specific and not have any responses. =D

go on g35driver and look up clokwork. he was in the process of making a plate bracket that screws into the towhook mount in the front mesh.

Stillen makes one that use the front tow hook. not cheap $70 but is removable and is off center. lots of people have asked me about it. here's how it looks on a sport bumper

Yeah, I don't care for the Stillen bracket only because the tow hook is not centered. Looks like someone couldn't see straight when installing it.

well, front plates are required in CA and some of us don't want to mount directly to the bumper. I don't want to give a cop a reason for pulling me over. I know there are some flip up (motorized / manual) options too. I guess those would be the best option.

I had my Rx8 for 3 years and got pulled over once for speeding and the **** *** cop saw my plate in my front window and because of that realized it wasn't on the front and wrote me a fix it ticket. And like 2 months ago before i was about to give the car back i got pulled over and explained to the cop i ordered customize plates that havent came in.

Long story short its the law in CA but 2x in 3yrs is worth the $15 fix-it instead of an $70 bracket, but with my first ticket looks like i need the bracket anyways.

there's another thread on this already. Options are:

1) Stillen. overpriced at $70. Good quality tho

2) infinitiplate. same thing but cheaper

3) zip tie to the mesh $0

4) flip up (see thread below)

5) leave it off!

it just screws in - takes less than 2 min. keep it in your trunk in the meantime.
