Stillen GTR Grille

I'm tired of waiting for a complete front kit... this is what I'm planning to go with. Later add the JP Lip kit and call it done.

Agree on the bar, but since we can't remove it.. we can however hide it by color matching it as well and actually I think I like this more then a large open gap of the Gialla kits. This is definately much better then with a black bar!

I predict they'll have larger bottom, top and possibly sides to reshape the opening to both make it look more agressive and also reduce the gap.

I wrote Stillen requesting the bar be removed...and while at it colormatch the frame...response below. Perhaps after this one fails they'll consider this and offer one as requested on the next mold.

Unfortunately, the following explanation is not going to make you happy.

Unfortunately we can not alter our current grill to resemble the style you are asking for. Because the grill is made of urethane which is injected into a pre made mold we are unable to alter the design after the part has been finished. Urethane can be modified however cutting out the center cross bar is not possible as it would leave two large holes on either side of the grill where it used to be. These holes could be filled, molded and/or modified however it would require an immense amount of work that would not be practical or affordable for us to perform.

It has been a long-standing policy of STILLEN’s to not ship any urethane pre-painted. The problem with pre-painting parts is that there will be damage done to the paint during the shipping process. Also, we run into the problem of color matching. Color matching a body part to a vehicle is nearly impossible without having the car on hand when spraying. Even if we use the factory color code we can not guarantee that the amount of metal flake or shading will be 100% accurate. We have tried to ship parts pre-painted and it just becomes a nightmare for everyone involved, the customer, the painter, and STILLEN.

Again, we greatly appreciate customer feedback and we like to hear what our customer’s are looking for. Unfortunately this grill is unable to be changed at this time as any modification would require an entirely new mold.

Thank you very much,
