How do I remove bulbs to exchange for LED

I burned the living **** out of myself the other day. LED's from superbright led's are coming tommorow.. Trunk, maplights, and license plate. I know how to get the covers off, how do I get the bulbs out without lighting a fire on my fingertips?

Have someone hold the buttons in so that they aren't on while you are working on getting them out. There are sensors on both doors.

I did it the ghetto way. I took all the plastic covers off, got everything all set to take the bulbs out, then closed all the doors and waited 5 minutes. Then I licked my fingers, opened the doors real quick, and popped out all the bulbs before they warmed up. ;-)

Or you could just wear mechanics gloves? Or any kind of gloves that will allow your fingers to grab the bulb.

I just used a small rag to pull out the bulbs and pop in the new bulbs. Not to happy with the trunk LED can't close my dome.
