Top Secrect Hood

Whatever happened to the Top Secret Carbon Fiber Hood thread?? Does anybody know the difference in weight in pounds...Carbon Fiber hood vs. Stock hood??

Not sure what the heck happened to it... Ken "Nismo" would know more about this... He's a member here... I think it was like $1,000+ or something if I remember correctly... Looked hella sweet though...

Yeah it was 1500.00. It looked great but wouldn't pay that unless there was significant weight loss..

I would say that most of the CF hoods out right now will be a weight savings now. The rest depends on the fit and quality you're looking for.

cant be what? lighter? if so your ****ing crazy. the TS hood is a dry carbon piece. its going to be far lighter then our oem hood. i would say 10+ lbs easy

i knew it would be lighter but im not saying it will be a huge difference.. i dont consider 10lbs and huge difference..

10 lbs = HUGE difference at the track... Especially in and out of corners...

combined with other parts yes... But for people who are only adding the hood IMO its not worth the money.

Our OEM hoods dont even weigh that much to begin with, how do you expect such a significant reduction in weight loss like 20-30lbs without going hood-less.

I would consider 10lb off of a hood pretty significant considering the oem weight is not that much.

If your looking to save significant weight then there are much better places to start shedding weight then the hood. Nonetheless, I think 10lb weight savings is very good.

If your just adding the hood and nothing else I dont believe the weight is a big factor considering it would be more for looks than function.
